Looking for the ultimate Christmas shopping experience, or just a festive browse? London is brimming with festive markets complete with mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, carol singing, live music and even wreath making. Here’s our pick of the best for 2023.

London’s Best Christmas Markets 2023

Guildhall Christmas Market

5:30pm–9:30pm on 27 November & 10:30am–7pm on 28 November 2023 at the Guildhall (Entrance via Guildhall Art Gallery, Guildhall Yard, EC2V 7HH)

Elevate your Christmas gift-giving game at the magical Guildhall Christmas Market. After a few Covid-enforced years of closure, the market will return to the beautiful and gothic Guildhall for 2023 this November, with a variety of lovely stalls selling handmade and unique items. Tickets are £7 per person, raising vital funds for the work of the British Red Cross; redcross.org.uk

Kings Cross Christmas Markets

Dates TBC. Usually throughout December at Canopy Market (West Handyside Canopy, 2 Granary Square, London N1C 4BH) & Coal Drops Yard (Stable St, London N1C 4DQ)

Kings Cross Christmas Market

The Kings Cross Christmas markets are expected to return for another year in December with a range of exciting, unique themes on the cards. Nearby, we also expect a fun wintery pop-up at Coal Drops Yard – last year it was Club Curling, so which Winter Olympics sport will shine in the spotlight for 2023? kingscross.co.uk 

Battersea Power Station’s Festive Food Market

Dates TBC. Last year, it took place from 18 November 2022–8 January 2023 at Battersea Power Station (Kirtling St, Nine Elms, London SW11 8AX)

Head to Battersea Power Station for its second year of festivities, including the glittering Glide skating rink plus a plethora of shopping destinations and festive activities. Greenwich Peninsula Market

Dates TBC. Last year very weekend from 4–19 December

Greenwich Peninsula – home of the O2 – was transformed into an Enchanted Forest for last year’s festive season, featuring everything from winter craft workshops to classic film screenings (think Elf, Home Alone, Frozen and It’s a Wonderful Life), intimate jazz gigs to a Christmas rock concert.
