Google Pixel Fold, £1,749
When it comes to the latest technology, a short attention span is rewarded. The latest phone, a new design, the latest technology. Google hopes to capitalise on this motion with its entry into the foldable phone market, the Pixel Fold. Not only will it appeal to tech heads as a snazzy and ultra-premium first-to-market for the brand, it will benefit those with a genuinely short attention span, thanks to the multi-tasking capabilities the fold-out screen offers. Watch a video on one half of the double screen while writing a to-do list on the other, reply to a message without closing down Netflix: the tablet-in-a-pocket capabilities of Google’s first Fold are super appealing and hard to let go of once you’ve given them a go. The camera, along with the brand’s built-in editing options, are also very impressive, and shooting a high-res selfie with the rear-facing camera is a novelty that takes a while to wear off. The price tag is the only catch: you’ll need this device to keep your attention for quite some time to make it worth splashing out on.
