Mark Halloween in the best way: with food. Supper club Dinner Ladies is back with a themed event featuring seven courses, inspired by the seven deadly sins. Taking place at Core Clapton – which is being transformed into a suitably gothic setting for the occasion – the dinner will include a spread of creative dishes paired with a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. The menu includes dishes like Lust, a white miso and champagne chowder with French caviar; Gluttony, a buffalo chicken wing with blue cheese sauce; and Envy, a G&T sorbet with pickled blackberries.

In celebration of its 30th birthday, Clapham pizzeria Eco is offering visitors the chance to dine like it’s 1993 – the year the restaurant opened. For the month of October, the Clapham High Street hotspot will be replacing its current menu with its original offering – and for one day only on Monday 30 October, dishes will be sold for their 1993 prices. That means delicious sourdough pizzas for as little as £4.50. Count us in.
